IN-CA was founded in 1964 by Carl D. Engel upon the belief that everyone is entitled to a nice pair of trousers. The IN-CA name, Inger plus Carl, represents the proud family traditions and roots of the Engel family honouring second-generation Inger Engel, with the pioneering spirit of Carl, the third-generation owner of the Danish textile company F. ENGEL; a family-led business that pioneered the development of functional apparel in Denmark since 1927. F. Engel unifies the worlds of craftsmanship, passion and innovation. With a strong pioneering spirit and solid business acumen, the family business has continued to focus on innovative materials and function first design in all product categories and is represented in more than 40 countries around the world.
